China Guanghua Science and Technology Foundation (the “Foundation”) (http://www.ghstf.org) is a charitable foundation registered in Ministry of Civil Affairs and directly under Central Communist Youth League (CCYL).

The establishment of the Foundation is to help the Chinese youth with their science learning and become useful people who can donate to the science and culture fields of China. The foundation's business include receiving donations from organizations and individuals from China and abroad, organizing public benefit activities , raising money, establishing public welfare foundations, offering financial help to and rewarding organizations, and individuals who make outstanding contribution in the field, organizing and financing programs promoting the youth’s science and technology learning, such as researches, trainings ,advertising, seminars, technology cooperation in China and abroad.

Since its establishment in 1993, the foundation has awarded over 2,500 scientists, technicians, high school students and young inventors with the total amount of over ten million RMB covering 39 academies, 93 research institutes, 8 national key labs, 1 hospital and 45 projects for their awards honored by the Foundation, including "Guanghua Science and Technology Award", "Guanghua Education Scholarship", "Baogong Logistics Award", "Nie Rongzhen Science and Technology Scholarship", and "Guanghua Award for Invention of the Young". The foundation’s distinguished contribution to science and technology field has received great social acclaim

Since it was officially directly under CCYL in October 2004, It has made amazing progress by carrying out the strategies of " reinvigorating the country through science, technology and education " and " reinvigorating China through human resource development ", adhering to the working ideas of "serving, being up to standard and innovating", and utilizing its own advantages. Now, its business has expanded from honoring awards for contribution to science and technology filed to book donation, innovation of science and technology, supporting poor areas by using technology, “harmonious education”, energy, environmental protection, communication in design, training and so on, and has implemented many leading programs and established many funds.
